At Visma Labs in Kosice, over 200 professionals drive innovation by developing and supporting more than 20 products. We are now seeking a skilled .NET Senior / Tech Lead to join our team and contribute to our ongoing projects.

Your Opportunity

As the Senior/Tech Lead Engineer, you will play a crucial role in guiding the technical direction of our team's development efforts. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to the engineering team as we continue to build and expand our microservices-based .NET application hosted on the Azure cloud platform.


Your tasks will include:

1. Technical Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Lead the technical vision and roadmap for the team's .NET-based microservices and Azure cloud infrastructure.

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, helping them improve their coding

  • skills, architecture, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.


2. Architecture and Design:

  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable .NET-based microservices using the latest versions of the .NET framework.

  • Leverage Azure services such as Functions, Durable Functions, Service Bus, and Event Grid to build a highly available and fault-tolerant cloud-native application.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and patterns that can enhance the team's development capabilities and the application's performance.

  • Collaborate with the team to identify and address technical debt, refactor code, and improve system design.



3. Project Delivery and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Product team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Participate in project planning, sprint grooming, and estimation activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

  • Communicate effectively with the wider engineering team, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to align on priorities and dependencies.




Let’s Dive into the Tech Stack
We Are Looking for You Who

  • 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on C# and the .NET framework.

  • Extensive experience in designing and building microservices-based applications, preferably in an Azure cloud environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including Functions, Durable Functions, Service Bus, and/or Event Grid.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with

cross-functional teams. 

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
