We're seeking a talented Data Engineer who is passionate about building robust data solutions and has a keen interest in the financial services technology sector. This role is designed to make a significant impact on our DaaS platform, primarily through developing ETL/ELT pipelines with PySpark and ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality data services to one of the largest Dutch pension fund providers.
Your tasks will include:
70% Writing PySpark Code - ETL/ELT Pipelines:
Architect, develop, and optimise ETL/ELT processes using PySpark, aimed at handling comprehensive volumes of pension fund data.
Design scalable and maintainable pipelines to support the intricate requirements of pension fund management data extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
Employ Azure Synapse Analytics, Delta Lake, and additional cutting-edge data processing technologies to ensure efficient data management and accessibility.
30% Testing, DevOps, Analysis, and Communication:
Implement thorough data validation and testing protocols to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the pension fund data.
Use Azure DevOps and Terraform to deploy, manage, and orchestrate data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data workflows and system reliability.
Work closely with analysts and business units to understand and fulfil data transformation needs, converting complex requirements into superior performance data solutions.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, analysing pipeline effectiveness and integrating new technologies or approaches to enhance our DaaS platform.

We are looking for you who has:
Demonstrable experience in Data Engineering, with a specialisation in PySpark and ETL/ELT pipeline development.
Some knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture, along with MongoDB, and MySQL.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Terraform, and advanced DevOps methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of both independent initiative and collaborative team efforts.
Strong communication skills, able to effectively interface with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Financial expectations
The gross salary starts from 3500 EUR. 💸 Keep in mind that we are open to discussing your salary based on your competence and experience.
